The whole earth was brimming sunshine that morning. She tripped along, the clear sky pouring liquid blue into her soul.
“Sister Carrie” by Theodore Drieser
A lovely day with family and friends, a beautiful sky and sunshine is like pouring liquid blue into my soul. Refreshing. Such was my day, Sunday.
I picked up my mother, daughter and granddaughter and headed out of town to a baby shower for my nephew’s wife. During our drive we enjoyed good conversation and as our laughter melded into one, we talked of how much alike we all were.
The sky put on a show for us on our drive home and I stopped at a Baltz Lake in Pocahontas to savor it before the sun went down.
