I enjoy all kinds of artistic pursuits and have tried my hand at painting, lampworking, writing, stained glass, jewelry, and all kinds of crafts to, of course, photography. 
I spent most of my career working for small town newspapers as an editor, photographer, columnist, graphic designer, and reporter here in Arkansas.
Now I am taking life a little easier – no deadlines, long hours, and did I mention no deadlines. But, I would be remiss to say I didn’t miss it, sometimes. I enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life and the opportunity to see and know things before they ever went to press. Each day was an adventure.
In doing that job I carried a camera almost everywhere I went and took lots of photos. With this blog I hope to combine two of my favorite things, my love for words and photographs.
